Employees working at Target – Emergency/Evacuation Protocol:
We want to be sure our employees know what the emergency/evacuation protocol is.
- In the case of any emergency/evacuation, Target will include us as vendors in their internal communications.
- Everything will be announce through the public address system (PA) and walkie-talkies throughout the store.
- When Target executes the process they will make sure the exterior of the building is safe. This includes parking lots, building exterior and surrounding areas.
- If the exterior of the building is safe, the employees will be told to evacuate the building. You must know the exterior rally points at any Target location where you work. If you do not know where they are at, you must immediately speak with your supervisor and your supervisor will point you to the locations. If the store is evacuated, once outside the building and in a safe location you can contact your immediate supervisor.
- If the exterior of the building is unsafe, the employees will be directed to a shelter-in-place location. This announcement will be done through PA and walkie-talkies. You must know the shelter in place points at any Target location where you work. If you do not know where they are at, you must immediately speak with your supervisor and your supervisor will point you to the locations. Follow the instructions provided by Target. Once in safe location, contact your direct supervisor.
- If you are directed to shelter in place, you should turn off all cell phones (off, not on vibrate) until you are told by Target that it is safe to turn them on again.
You should always be aware of significant incidents that could lead to civil unrest. If you see something, you must say something. Let your supervisor know of concerns about what you see or hear, and following his or her advice.

Queremos asegurarnos de que nuestros empleados sepan cuál es el protocolo de emergencia / evacuación.
- En el caso de cualquier emergencia / evacuación, Target nos incluirá como proveedores en sus comunicaciones internas.
- Todo se anunciará a través del sistema de megafonía (PA) y transmisor receptor portátil o walkie-talkie en toda la tienda.
- Cuando Target ejecute el proceso, se asegurará de que el exterior del edificio sea seguro. Esto incluye estacionamientos, exteriores del edificio y áreas circundantes.
- Si el exterior del edificio es seguro, se les dirá a los empleados que evacuen el edificio. Debe conocer dónde están los puntos de reunión exteriores de cualquier ubicación de Target donde trabaje. Si no sabe dónde están, debe hablar inmediatamente con su supervisor y su supervisor le indicará los lugares. Debe conocer los puntos de refugio en cualquier ubicación de Target donde trabaje. Si no sabe dónde están, debe hablar inmediatamente con su supervisor y su supervisor le indicará los lugares. Siga las instrucciones proporcionadas por Target. Una vez en un lugar seguro, comuníquese con su supervisor directo.
Si se le indica que se refugie en un lugar, debe apagar todos los teléfonos celulares (apagados, no en vibración) hasta que Target le indique que es seguro volver a encenderlos.
Siempre debe estar al tanto de los incidentes importantes que podrían provocar disturbios civiles. Si ve algo, debe decir algo. Hágale saber a su supervisor las preocupaciones sobre lo que ve o escucha y siga sus consejos.
