PMUSA Supports Young Heart Patients Through Mended Little Hearts and Looks Back at Shoe Drive

mendedlittleheartsEvery quarter, PMUSA employees select a charity to support. For the second quarter of 2016, we selected Mended Little Hearts (MLH), a national nonprofit organization that provides help, hope and support to children with congenital heart defects and their families.

MLH is a program of Mended Hearts, the largest peer-to-peer patient support network in the world. Since 2004, MLH has been providing families of young heart patients with a variety of services, including peer support, educational resources, hospital outreach programs, online connections and more.

During the fourth quarter of last year, PMUSA held a shoe and sock drive for Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls. Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls sent a touching thank-you video for our efforts and said, “We are grateful for every single pair of shoes that has been collected because we believe shoes provide health, access to education and HOPE. Your contribution will make a profound impact on the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world.”
